Find inspiration from the 2014 Emmy Awards
September 3, 2014
Are you trying to decide what your wedding dress look will be? There are many options, and many places to find inspiration. Red carpet looks are often stunning and glamorous. On August 25 the Primetime Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles, and the stars strutted their stuff, dressed up to the nines.
In a Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown, Claire Danes looked radiant. The startlingly red dress was just the right amount of simple while still making a statement. When choosing your dress, consider a simple silhouette with lace side cut outs and an embellished neckline and channel this look.
Are you wanting to go for something more edgy? You could take a leaf out of Gwen Stafani's book and opt for a dress that is slightly futuristic. Her Atelier Versace dress was shimmering white, with gold edged cut-outs from her neck down. To complete the look, Gwen wore her hair straight, with smoky eyes and pink lips.
Michelle Monaghan stunned in an all white, classic and chic Giambattista Valli Couture number. The simplicity of the dress was lovely, and fittingly paired with soft curls, gold heels, a M2Malletier clutch and Irene Neuwirth jewels.
Designer Zac Posen and Lucy Liu prove to be a match made in heaven. Lucy looked beautiful in her soft, off-white Grecian gown that draped in all the right places. If you're wanting a dress that expresses your femininity, opt for one that has layers of sheer fabric and a short train.
Taylor Schilling's Zuhair Murad Couture dress was flapper-esque, with a loose top, gorgeous beading and a high neckline. Show off your shoulders and be inspired by this soft and chic look. Taylor finished it off with a sweeping up-do and well chosen classic jewels.
